Cayman Brac is one of the islands that comprise the Cayman Island. It is situated 143 km northeast (89 miles) off Grand Cayman in the Caribbean Sea. Though the island has an area of only 38 square kilometers (19 km long x 2 km wide) its terrain is considered the most stunning because of the 43 meter-high “Bluff” that rises above the sea at the eastern end and along the whole length of the island. This limestone outcrop is so named “brac” which is Gaelic for a bluff.
