With an average water temperature of 85°F, the Cayman Islands offer year-round water sports in it’s pristine oceans.

Diving

Whether you’re a seasoned divemaster or a complete novice, our local dive companies have got you covered. Never been diving before? Try a resort course for divers as young as 10 years old.

Resort courses usually consist of a morning session where divers learn the basics of SCUBA in the confined water of a swimming pool. In the afternoon, divers are taken on their first open water dive on one of Cayman’s world famous dive sites. Accompanied by their instructor, resort divers can descend to a maximum depth of 40 ft, where they will explore coral reefs, ship wrecks, and the abundant sea life of Cayman’s waters. After completing the resort course, divers are eligible to dive with the same company for the duration of their trip.

Certified divers can choose between a variety of options including two-tank boat dives (deep wall dive followed by a shallow reef dive), Stingray City, and shore dives. Hardcore divers may choose between a live-aboard dive boat or an exclusive dive resort on one of the sister islands, Cayman Brac or Little Cayman.
